TABLE OF CONTENTS

TRIUMF - FIRE ALARM SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION

The twenty four character device messages that appear on the LCD display are consistently coded in the following manner :

Address , Building , Level , Other Location , Device type

Note: "Other Location" and "device type" may not always be present

The address and message are followed by a more complete and descriptive section of text. The text may contain information such as how to locate the actual detector or TRI, or what other action occurs if this detector alarms (eg fan shutdown).

Some typical examples of each section of the description are as follows:

EXAMPLE : 5-052-043 ISAC TMB L1 E. EMRG DOOR MS

NOTES:

1. Loop numbers are not duplicated on different Nodes/Panels therefore panel number is not required for device identification.
2. All devices are labeled with their unique loop and device number. (ie. 052-043)
3. Any device removed or wiring disconnected will result in a "Trouble" being annunciated indicating the address of the device or zone.

ALL input devices can initiate an ALARM except where noted as TROUBLE or SUPERVISORY.
